1:30 am bed time. 7 am wake up time.
It takes a minimum of 7 hours of quality sleep to keep me going. Day two of five and a half hours of limited z’s isn’t running too well with my body’s expectations.
I intern by day... what on some days feels like all day. (The sun sets around 5 pm in Sydney and by the time I walk to the train station at 5:30, the city lights have replaced nature's natural light.) I’ve really been so good about going to sleep early in order to be fully functioning for my work day. Until last night... when I kind of thought it through. I am an intern, an unpaid intern, volunteering my time in Sydney (ok, I signed up for this, but still...!). And it would probably be totally fine to turn in for an early night to be awake for my volunteer job if I were home. But I’m thousands of miles away from home. And last night was so worth it.
Today’s just a killer. My eyes are drooping. And I’ve had so much work to do. All I want to do is nap. There’s an hour and 30 minute countdown until I’m home for nap time.
Pretty sure my boss just said “fuck.”
Obviously anything goes here.
